Photoacoustic technology is derived from high peak power and a short pulse duration. The greater this is the larger the reaction with target tissue such as collagen, tattoo ink or pigmentation.
The Q-switch technology stores energy via a high speed shutter between pulses enabling the laser to deliver high peak power. The Cynosure Medlite C6 laser fires the stored energy at the desired chromophore creating an acoustic wave which shatters target chromophores whilst leaving the skin intact.
The Cynosure Medlite C6 delivers energy in a homogeneous, flat top profile. This ensures there is no spikes or energy with the energy deliver.
