The Fotona starwalker laser brings to you ASP (adaptive structured pulse) which is both revolutionary and groundbreaking. The ASP technology adapts the temporal structure of the laser pulse to the biophotonic dynamics of laser to tissue interaction.
The Fotona starwalker laser brings to you TMD (transverse mode discrimination) laser oscillator technology. This when coupled with the ASP pulse controls has the ability to deliver short Q switched nanosecond pulses which consist of a high energy train of ultra-short burst of energy in the pico range. This enables a high photochemical tissue interaction causes a high level acoustic wave and shattering the target chromophore in small particles without injuring the epidermis.
This brings together both picosecond technology and nanosecond technology to the aesthetic and medical market in one pulse train unlike any other.
The Fotona Starwalker has, among its many features, a range of super-short pulse technologies. The MaQX pulse delivers powerful burst of laser energy to break apart pigments or ink.
The laser can delivery upto 10j of q-switch energy within this MaQX pulse enabling a high energy photoacoustic effect and the very effective breakup of pigments results in faster treatments and less sessions to achieve the desired clinical end-point.
Additionally, with high MaQX energies, larger spot sizes can be used resulting in more homogeneous treatments of even deeper lying skin pigments, and therefore reduced risk of unwanted side effects due to a decreasing amount of laser scatter. The MaQX pulse can also be made softer with the ability to alter the MaQX pulse level (MaQX-1, MaQX-2, MaQX-5 or MaQX-10) of the treatment. With a higher softness level the ASP technology relates the acoustic energy releases to an acceptable acoustic power and in doing so a less invasive effect on tissue.
by offering both sets of handpieces it gives the user the ability to offer a wide range of treatments. Fractional handpieces are less aggressive than full beam, and deliver microspots of energy to the tissue with the other surrounding tissue unaffected by the laser energy.
A homogeneous beam is paramount to ensure safety of laser treatments, by ensuring energy is evenly distributed across the treatment area and across the whole span of the laser width. This homogeneous beam delivery results in no hot spots and less chance of bleeding or scarring occurring. Fotona's Vacuum Cell and OPTOflex technologies produces almost perfectly homogeneous beam profile. The OPTOflex arm transmits laser energy without losing of changing the beams original properties.
The Fotona Starwlaker laser flashlamp is equipped with Vacuum Cell and OPTOflex technology. This is where the flash lamp is only activated when the laser is actually fired. This causes a much lower burden on the laser and results in longer laser lamp lifespan and lower maintenance costs.

R58 - Titanium smart-control handpiece with auto spot recognition between 1.5 and 6mm. Can be used with 532nm laser sources and VERDE pulse.
R585 - Titanium smart-control handpiece with auto spot recognition between 2 and 4mm. This is an optional Dye handpiece changing the wavelength to 585nm for the removal of sky blue colours.
R650 - Titanium smart-control handpiece with auto spot recognition between 2 and 4mm. This is an optional Dye handpiece changing the wavelength to 650nm for the removal of green colours.
FS200 - Titanium smart-control fractional handpiece with auto handpiece recognition. It Is used with q switched Nd:YAG laser source and offers 25 pixels in a 9x9mm area.
FS20A - Titanium smart-control fractional handpiece with auto handpiece recognition. It Is used with q switched Nd:YAG laser source and offers 81 pixels in a 9x9mm area.
