The Perma Tesla seat is designed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles by using high intensity electromagnetic pulses.

The Perma Tesla seat or known as an in continence chair uses the latest high-focused electromagnetic technology or Hi-EMT to cause supramaximal muscle contractions. The Perma Tesla seat uses high-intensity electromagnetic energy to induce supramaximal muscle contractions that strengthen the pelvic floor effortlessly and effectively.

I had no idea what to expect when trying out the Tesla chair, but as I have had two children, both natural births, when I was offered the opportunity to try it I jumped at the chance! I was a bit apprehensive of what it would feel like, but by my second session I turned up the setting to 100% and it wasn’t uncomfortable in the slightest. But the great part is you can sit on the chair fully clothed without any kind of invasive procedure or feelings of awkwardness

I genuinely looked forward to coming into Laserase to see all the ladies and have the treatment. A lot of the time with things we say ‘no pain, no gain’, but there genuinely was no pain at all but you can feel it working and there is everything to gain! After my 6 treatments were complete, I put my pelvic floor to the ultimate test and took my kids trampolining, which I would normally avoid as I have had a couple of moments where I didn’t feel in control. But this time, I got on and I really went for it, my children were even laughing at me asking why I was jumping so high!! I am thrilled to announce there were no whoopsie moments and I felt confident and in control again to be able to enjoy myself with my children on the trampolines. I am also a Mum who is really into fitness, so I now feel I can do exercises I have been avoiding.

As women we need to be open to talking about this more and spreading the word, instead of secretly suffering in silence. Honestly, I couldn’t recommend it more, if you are struggling with your pelvic floor or just want to enjoy being with a partner more, you should definitely give it a go!
