Previously marketed in the UK, as the 'Lynton Duetto', the Quanta Duetto MT EVO laser offers both Alexandrite (755nm) & Nd:YAG (1064nm) laser discharges, in a choice of either a single-emission, sequential-emission or mixed-emission.
Big spot sizes, a wide range of pulse widths and fast repetition rate together with the exclusive possibility to set the proportion between Alexandrite and Nd:YAG lasers through the Mixed Technology, make this device one of the most advanced and flexible laser in Aesthetics and Dermatology field particularly for the Hair Removal, Vascular and Skin Rejuvenation treatments.
Mixed-Technology Benefits
Since Alexandrite is gold standard for lighter skin-type’s and Nd:YAG is the gold standard for darker skin-types, having the ability to fire the wavelength’s separately or together gives the Practitioner the ultimate hair removal tool and gives the client the ultimate hair-removal experience.
The Duetto MT can meet the necessities of every patient by tailoring the treatments in every detail, leading to:

Until the evolution of the Quanta Duetto; Lasers have been restricted to delivery of a single laser wavelength at a time. The mixed-technology mode on the Quanta Duetto allows the user to deliver a mixture of the both Alexandrite and Nd:YAG wavelengths as the same time, with varying proportions of each wavelength to suit the clinical needs.
This allows ultimate laser hair-removal, targeting 2 different chromophores of the hair follicle at exactly the same time. Also, as both energies are delivered together, there is less thermal damage; improving safety for all skin types.
Alexandrite laser (755nm) is regarded as the gold standard for hair-removal for skin types 1-3/4 and is brilliant for thin, fine and light coloured hairs with little melanin. The alexandrite wavelength has the highest absorption of melanin so is gold standard in these instances.
Nd:YAG laser (1064nm) is the safest wavelength for treating all skin type’s; which means it can be used on dark skin type up to and including skin type 6. It has a low melanin absorption. so the wavelengths is not absorbed by colour hence its safety in treating dark skin type’s. Instead Nd:YAG targets the germative cell of the hair follicle via the vascular supply of the hair follicle. This means it even gets some results on hair with little or no melanin in them.
A traditional difficulty in laser hair-removal has centred around the ability to treat dark skins with fine hair. The Quanta Duetto laser tackles this problem by mixing, with in a single laser pulse, the 2 gold-standard wavelengths in hair removal. By adding a proportion of Alexandrite with the safety of the Nd:YAG pulse, fine-hairs can be treated on all skin type’s.
The mixed technology takes advantage of the gold-standard effects of both Alexandrite and Nd:YAG energies:
The TWAIN options are based on IPL or laser hand-pieces that can be installed at the clinic’s site any time.
The Twain 2940 is an Er:YAG laser hand-piece, ideal for skin ablations with confined thermal diffusion for excellent safety scores. With full and fractional option, it is indicated for:

Fractional:
The Twain IPL option is based on Intense Pulsed Light technology, with different optical-filters or different hand-pieces that can have integrated skin cooling (depending on the model and wavelength). It is indicated for:
The integrated contact skin-cooler of the Duetto MT can be used with or without a sapphire window at three different target temperatures.
Alternatively, the Skin-Cryo hand-piece adaptor, is intended to work in combination with an external compatible air-cooling unit to provide a cold-air flow for the reduction of pain and thermal injury on wide areas.
